I love when they add new items to the game. Who wouldn’t want a possible attack power proc on a neck peice? I’ll take one of those in RL.
[Shattered Sun Pendant of Might]

Procs:
Aldor: +200 attack power for 10 sec.
Scryers: 333 to 367 damage Arcane Strike.
After an hour long test of the Aldor version:
- 1. In 60 minutes (3600 seconds), it procced 71 times.
- 2. On average, it took 51 seconds to proc again (45 seconds of which was the internal cooldown)
- 3. It therefore had an uptime of (710/3600*100) 19.722%.
- 4. This gives an average base AP increase of (0.19722*200) 39.44 AP.
- 5. Therefore, the Equip: bonus is roughly equivalent to 20 strength (or 40, for rogues).
- 6. It’s worth bearing in mind that using specials will likely reduce the time taken slightly (to a minimum of 45 seconds), increasing the overall AP gain slightly.
Also, on short fights, the AP gain will be higher since you get the first proc “free” (ie. waiting 5 instead of 50 seconds).
For Exalted with Scryers, it procs an attack called Arcane Strike, which deals approximately 350-400 arcane damage. With a bit of testing, it seems to proc about once per fight. Visually, it creates a small spark on the enemy, and looks and sounds like the blood elf racial Mana Tap.
After testing on live, it appears to have 45 second internal cooldown (as expected). It can crit, and it is affected by Curse of Shadows (arcane damage). Average damage assuming zero crits is 350/385 without/with the curse up. The proc rate appears to be very reliable as most procs I witnessed happened between 46-50 seconds using only auto attack on a feral druid with zero haste (1.0 attack speed). Using that data you can rougly expect 7.7-8.5 dps from the proc alone without factoring in crits. Not too bad at all.
Also the crit rate is based of melee crit.
