*Sorry for the lack of post over the past few days, a bug on the website prevented me from doing any posting for almost a week(!).

Cromfel the Fifth

After noticing that a post from Sir Cromfel befell our forums, I noticed that another Retribution movie from an oldie has been released. Simply put, we love all fellow Retributioners far and wide, so why shouldn’t they get a spot on our front page!

ICC For Dummies

Recently Teleros posted up an Icecrown Citadel for Dummies guide that has been getting a lot of praise and attention. Although it’s far too complicated for me and I’d never go into such detail for these extremely complicated fights (people who just joined the internet and lack sarcasm awareness beware), it’s still a nice read. Wish I could have posted this sooner before it spreaded like wildfire, but nevertheless it’s here! Just click here for the forum link or follow the hilariously big picture!

The Crimson Halls

I’d love to hear some input now that it’s Sunday and I’m sure the majority of the raiders out there have experienced the new bosses. I personally think that the Blood Princes encounter is a slap in the face to us - the “Keep the DoT up!” motto that Blizzard forced down our throats really makes this encounter a complete disaster to try and be competitive in.

Blood Queen is more of a pushover if anything, which is a little disappointing after the success of the Plagueworks earlier in the month.  What do you guys think about the new encounters? And of course, obligatory giant picture of kicks and giggles.

Bloodqueen has a very strict enrage timer that most guilds won’t meet for a while, but other than that this wing has been kind of lackluster.

  2. Vindictus

I’ve only done the princes, haven’t seen the Queen yet. But from what I understand, it’s just another hard DPS check. It’s kind of annoying considering we’ve already had what, 2 already?

The Princes are a pretty fun fight. I’d like to see how it pans out in heroic mode, though.

  3. Megaphone

I wouldn’t exactly consider it a “hard” DPS check, but it certainly comes down to being one seeing as she only has three that do damage to the raid (Purple flame, Glorified Yogg brain link, and AoE damage that damages in an AoE (lol Illidan and Rotface)).

The biting is interesting and all, but once people get assigned to a certain person to bite, there’s nothing else that happens during the fight. Icecrown heroic modes better introduce some new elements, because as it stands having 3-4 bosses do nothing but download gearscore to rate your raid isn’t fun!

I used to raid way back in the day when I was invited to an MC run and didn’t know what MC was.

Today is so different. I feel like there’s alot fewer raiders, and those that remain have become so hardcore it’s impossible to catch up…then with variations on raids (10, 25, Heroic, Hard, etc.) and trying to allow more people to raid, it seems to have gotten worse.

It used to be fun, then became a chore, now it’s unobtainable.

From my own experience, Blood Princes aren’t too *hard* for Retadins to do, just don’t expect to get high on the DPS meters if they’re spread out even reasonably far (as they likely will be). Good to see Cromfel’s new video as well :) .

Oh, and thanks for the mention Megaphone ^^ .

10man blood queen is a complete joke 1 shot it on all 3 of my chars, 25 actually requires some coordination.

    Long live Timangi!

I remember watching crom’s earlier vids… Gave me inspiration to roll a ret just to show peeps they were viable back in BC. :D

    Also: Love that ICC guide!

  9. Palinchron

Seal of Blood was the greatest bestest thing ever. ;( I lost interest in my paladin after Blizz took it away . Actually I lost interest in the game a lil since I’m not playing anymore.

  10. Dodge

The emo cutting seal (blood) was the worst thing they did to rets. Like ever ever. And making BE rets clearly the best race, more than ally was just utterly ridiculous too.
