Sorry about the delay in finishing this post! My interwebs was being crazy last night!
So Beta patch 12644 just hit the servers and it looks like there have been quite a few changes for the data-mined classes thus far. It shouldn’t be too much longer before Paladin updates are made available so stay tuned as I take a look at the changes and bring you analysis here!
- - Art of War now only has a 7/15% chance to proc
- - Sanctity of Battle now increases the damage by 10/20% and critical strike damage by 50/100% of your Exorcism. In addition, increases the chance you will hit with spells by 3/6%.
- - Seals of Command has moved up a tier and is now tier 4
- - Rule of Law now affects Crusader Strike, Holy Shock and Word of Glory instead of Crusader Strike and Holy Light.
- - Improved Crusader Strike is back as a tier 3 talent. It reduces the cooldown of Crusader Strike by 0.5/1 second.
All in all nothing too exciting here. The Art of War change is probably just a balancing change in that 30% had the buff up 100% of the time and with Exorcism having a cooldown this really wasn’t necessary. Improved Crusader Strike, although a very bland talent, is still a bit interesting in that it will allow you to build up Holy Power quicker. I predict quite a few changes still in store for Retribution with the next beta patch or two so I’ll reserve judgment until that time.
Swing ‘em hard!

arbiter of the light (t1 holy) increases the crit chance of both judgement of TV by 12% now, also. i have a feeling most ret builds will be taking this.
there is also some great interaction between selfless healer and last word (t2 holy) for a potential ret pvp spec with potent offhealing.

Any thoughts?

Deathknights lose the root ability on chains of ice
Prot paladins lose the daze with avenger’s shield, Ret has no promising gap closer or slow, HOLY is the one that has the “good” gap closer
Warriors gain what looks like a guaranteed immobilization with improved hamstring (arms) and it has been said they might gain a CC effect for 1 person on their intimidating shout. Probably still have the retarded bubble breaker move too, dispels dont seem to have as much penalty as they have claimed. In fact for healers or hybrids that can dispel, they will actually save mana from not having to spam the button on someone with dispel resistance.
Frost mages get more retarded shit that will make them more of a pain in the ass for melee in pvp. Assuming they can also still spellsteal and dispel resistance is gone on talents…
I hate you kalgan and the poor (or nonexistent?) pvp development team. Kalgan will probably be rockin his season 9 or 10 weapon on his mage and/or warrior with his changes for cataclysm. Because there are more changes to come for the classes he plays. It seems like he failed his hunter though
Almost seems like a step back to classic wow but with some different scenarios in pve – only good spec for PVP is holy and ret will get lol kited again. But, you can succeed as any spec in pve; as long as the group invites you and isnt FULL ON PALADINS already.
Sorry for the rage, couldnt let it go; do not want another failed paladin beta expansion repeat where feedback is ignored. The “it’s only beta” excuse does not apply for paladins, it’s been how many major revamps for us now?
