Retribution PvP Talent Specs

Just like PvE, there are two talent builds that distinctly stand our for retribution, each having a completely different impact from the other. One mainly uses Seal of Righteousness and generally has the highest single-target damage output (even in higher levels of gear, since Seal of Command can be Dodged / Blocked / Etc), and the other utilizes Seal of Command for maximum cleaving. Both however, make sure that you faceroll at optimal capacity.

It goes far down Protection, giving your partners an additional 30% damage reduction when Diving Sacrifice is popped, and reduces your Hammer of Justice cooldown time with the slight sprinkle of movement impairing effects (or extra healing if you prefer) to boot. It uses Seal of Command to cleave multiple targets, and can be a damage machine if your combination in arena is built around pressuring with AoE (an example being having a Warrior on your 3v3 team). Some prefer it in solo PvP as well thanks to the extra utility (as well as increased mana gain if you glyph for it).

Judgement of Righteousness deals an infinitely amount over Command, and the seal damage can’t be dodged and all of that good stuff. Usually taking Righteous Vengeance as well (though that can be substituted out if you prefer), it lays down the pain while not sacrificing much in protection. You can also glyph Seal of Righteousness for more damage, so it’s very obvious why people prefer this build over others when they just want to “hulk smash” in world PvP and Battlegrounds. Definitely preferred if you are the main source of damage in arena.

Do note that both builds don’t take Improved Might since it is almost always dispelled in arena and even battlegrounds these days - but if you can’t live without that extra 138 attack power, by all means.
